Jeffrey Gibson (Choctaw/Cherokee b. 1972. Lives and works in New York State) has come to embrace his multiple selves: informed by tradition, but focused on the future, Gibson is equally at home at a gay disco or an intertribal powwow ̶ his work reflects this complexity. This exhibition featured 10 paintings, an installation piece, and a video of the artist's performance in the Gallery on September 27, 2018.
